Distilled water has taken water from an available source and heated it until it turns to steam which helps ensure you are receiving pure water with nothing extra.

A lot of the well water in the world has some chemical or mineral you do NOT want to add to your body. Many municipal water supplies add chemicals to water to purify it, fluoridate it or otherwise treat it then ship it through pipes that may be decades old.

  1. Life cannot exist without water. The water in your body carries the nutrients you need to live to your cells. Water carries waste away from the cells and out of your body. Your body temperature is regulated, in part, with water. Distilled water is the purest form of water available to most of us so it is the best choice for delivering the nutrients to our cells and removing toxins. If the water you drink already has toxins in it, your body will need to work harder to eliminate all toxins.
  2. If you fail to keep your body properly hydrated, your body will draw water from the blood making your heart work harder and reducing the efficiency of your vital organs. You are properly hydrated when your urine is a pale yellow. Darker yellows or cloudy urine indicates you are dehydrated and need to add water. (Many bottled waters are created from municipal water supplies and some have added flavoring and sugars which reduces the benefits you derive from pure distilled water. Coffee, soda and other beverages contain water but they need to be digested before they can be used and this makes them less effective.

Some other signs that you may have a problem with low hydration are muscle cramps, fatigue, headaches, dryness in your nasal passages or skin problems.

The old adage that you need 8 glasses of water is a general guideline not a rule set in stone. How much water you need depends on your activity level, body type and size and the weather. You’ll need to consume a lot more water on a hot day than on a cool day. Let your urine color be your guide and KNOW that you’ll need to drink plenty of water when exercising or doing any strenuous activity if you want to help prevent cramps or worse.

You must decide whether you will get your water from beverages, bottled water or distilled water but do not underestimate your need for water when more than half your weight is from water.
