You can’t begin to talk about oily skin until you understand what causes it in the first place. Your body produces a naturally oily substance called sebum.

Oily skin is the result of the body making too much sebum. As with everything in life, an excessive amount of anything is bad. Too much sebum often leads to pores that become clogged with dead skin cells or dirt and this creates the perfect breeding ground for acne. You need a cleanser which contains salicylic acid such as beta-hydroxy acid that retards the rate of sebum production. Cleansing should be done at least twice a day and even more in hot and humid conditions.
