* Wear shoes that are comfortable and allow both air and moisture to pass through them.
* Do NOT share towels, washcloths, the shower or any other personal items with someone already suffering from toenail fungus.
* Avoid using toenail polish and keep them cut short.

Want info on home remedies for getting rid of toenail fungus, onychomycosis. I am presently soaking my foot in Listerine. Then I try to file the nail. Is there a better remedy?

I would visit Wikipedia to get as much information as you can about onychomycosis, if you haven’t already. WebMD may be a source for additional information.
My research leads me to believe that a combination treatment will be best for the quickest results because the infection is within the toenail. Your present treatment only treats the problem externally.
The majority of the websites with home remedies only offer external remedies for fungal infections because too many people fail to understand that some problems need to be addressed with proper nutrition AND occasionally with remedies that work from the inside out.
I wrote the post you commented on with the intention of recommending the product at the end of the article because it addresses the need for an internal as well as external fight of the infection.
