Acne and Skin Care Tips That Soothe and Refresh
When people have to deal with serious acne they need to know how to find some real acne products that can clear up the acne and really do the job right. Some of the best acne products use natural formulas and herbal ingredients to help you achieve better and clearer skin. For those of you, who want some type of real solution to help zap their stubborn acne, don’t give up hope. There really are some good things that work.
One thing to remember is that too much is not good for your skin, so start small with the skin care. I know that you are impatient to look in the mirror and see results but trust me, slow and careful will help you win this battle. Sometimes it doesn’t seem fair that you wash and scrub your face a thousand times a day and still seem to have acne popping up almost in front of your eyes. Well meaning people like to tell you that it’s not that bad. You know something? If you are the one with the acne, it IS that bad.
One of the things that you can do to get your acne zapped into submission is to use one of the little hand held electronic units that are made for acne sufferers. These are a bit expensive but they are so worth it. They work by using a battery to deliver a tiny electrical current to the pimples on your face. This kills the bacteria and clears each pimple in 1-2 days.
You can also use some easy and simple remedies at home that are good for your skin and will help control the acne. These home remedies for acne will also soothe inflamed skin, and help you distress. Some people like to use steam before they wash their face. The steam will help open the pores and this allows you to give a gentle and thorough washing to your face.
Just cut the hot water on in your bathroom sink and lean your face over so the steam is able to reach it. Trap the steam by covering your head with a thick towel. Do this for about 5-10 minutes and then wash your face as usual. Splash your face with cold water after washing and feel how nice and soft your skin feels. You can do steam treatments about 3-4 times a week.
You can also use green tea as a poultice for your face. Brew a pot of strong green tea. If you are using tea bags Use 3 teabags and 1 cup of water. Allow it to cool down and then wet a clean facecloth with the tea. Let the cloth rest on your face for 15 -20 minutes and then splash cool water on your face for a minute or two. Your face will feel refreshed and the green tea has some anti-inflammatory properties so you should notice less redness to the reddened areas.
