Can A Nintendo Wii Help You Stay Young?

I’ve seen multiple stories on the Nintendo Wii Fit games being used in nursing homes and hospitals to help people with health or mobility issues.

The latest health segment of our local news showed a 34 year old stroke victim bowling on Wii fit. His physical therapist said the game is helping him regain his hand eye coordination and this increased physical and brain activity is helping him regain the use of his paralyzed right arm and leg.

In another health segment, there was a story about seniors in a retirement center playing games on the Wii and they ALL increased their stamina, slept better and felt better about life in general after a few weeks.

Is it possible to slow the onset of senile dementia or Alzheimers by playing games on the Nintendo Wii? I don’t know but I’m willing to bet you’ll have fun finding out.

This guy probably doesn’t even realize he’s exercising but he’ll remember it in the morning when his muscles remind him.

Natural Anti Aging Skin Care

natural anti aging skin care product Anti-aging skin care is one of the hottest topics among men and women trying to slow or reverse the natural aging process. A youthful appearance is important.

Your youthful appearance satisfies your vanity and it is usually a sign that your skin is healthy.

Keeping your skin healthy should be a priority since it is your first line of defense in keeping disease and toxins out of your body.

Many factors influence the aging of your skin in addition to the passing of the years. Some of these are:

  • The amount of sun you expose your skin to while young. (Sun burns during your first 18 years can increase skin problems later in life.)
  • Nutrition – Poor nutrition hinders your body’s natural ability to repair itself.
  • Dehydration – Water is vital for the delivery of nutrition and the removal of waste in addition to helping in the regulation of your body temperature.

Many people see baldness, forgetfulness, graying hair, wrinkle formation, loss of eye sight, hearing loss or menopause as signs of aging but don’t recognize the loss of skin elasticity as an aging sign.

You should have a good skin care regimen in place at all stages of your life but you may need to modify this regimen and add additional skin care measures as you grow older.

Natural health and skin care routines should include, but not be limited to, drinking plenty of water, eating a lot of fruits and vegetables, avoiding stress, limiting sun exposure on your bare skin and getting plenty of sleep.

If include the above as part of your lifestyle starting in your early teens, you may slow the aging process but you won’t stop it. Adding additional skin care measures as you age will help you delay the visible signs of aging even more.

There are many quality anti-aging skin care products on the market and you’ve probably seen them advertised even before you consciously thought about seeking them out. Some of these products attack aging using external measures and some use internal means to improve your skin.

There is nothing you can do that will stop the natural process known as aging but you can slow the process by staying healthy using natural measures and by staying on top of your anti aging skin care routine as you grow older and see changes happening to your body and skin.
