Organic Gardening Secrets is an ebook that gives you solid information that you can use to take control of supplying your family with quality food.

This ebook on organic gardening was written by a woman in the United Kingdom but much if the information is relevant regardless of your location in the world.

crop rotation
fertilizers
and more

Different nutrients are derived from different products and this book did a good job of naming how manure, fish meal and different products can help your organic gardening efforts. Different types of mulch are discussed and so are the ingredients often added to composts and the role compost can play in your garden.

These were all good but the section on raised bed organic gardening and crop rotation in these beds was one of my favorite sections for the information on WHY rotation is important and how to do rotation correctly to maximize the use of the nutrients in the soil.

The section on controlling pests gave some good information but I think it could have been a little more complete. There are both good snails and bad snails. Bad snails destroy your garden but good snails eat the eggs and young of the bad snails. It takes 2-3 years to get a big enough group of good snails established to make them effective in your pest control efforts. A few more practical tips on the types of snails, flowers and other natural means of pest control would have helped.

I think anyone that wishes to start an organic garden should use their local gardening center, county extension services and the Organic Gardening Secrets to get the information you need to grow the nutrient rich and quality foods you and your loved ones deserve. If you are looking to improve the quality of the food you eat and reduce the cost, you might find organic gardening is for you.
